DIGITOOLKIT

Small tools that do one job, properly.

Digitoolkit is an independent software company. We make bit., a growing suite of iPhone utilities that take a familiar everyday tool, strip it back to the part you actually use, and dress it in a pixel interface worth looking at.

What we make

Every app in the bit. suite follows the same three rules: it opens instantly, it does one job without asking you to learn anything first, and it works fully offline. No accounts, no cloud sync, no dashboards. We like building them, and it shows.

On the App Store

bit.timer

A cooking timer built around the moment that actually matters: serving up. Add each dish with its cook time and it works out the running order, then tells you what goes on next, so the whole meal lands together. Eight switchable retro display themes.

In development

bit.weather

The forecast as a glanceable pixel readout. Today, tomorrow, and whether you need a coat, without a screen full of advertising and air-quality indices you did not ask for.

In development

bit.notes

A plain-text scratchpad that opens straight to the cursor. Local to your device, exportable as text, with no folder hierarchy to maintain.

How we build

Offline by default

Our apps keep their data on your device. That is a decision, not a limitation: a kitchen timer that stops working because a server is down is a worse kitchen timer. It also means there is no account to create and no personal data for us to hold.

Native, not wrapped

Every app is written in Swift and SwiftUI for iOS, with no third-party frameworks in the interface layer. They launch in well under a second and behave the way the rest of your phone behaves.

Honest pricing

Apps are free to download and fully usable for the job they exist to do. Where we charge, it is one optional in-app purchase that unlocks a convenience permanently. Never a subscription, and never a feature that worked yesterday and sits behind a paywall today.

Made because we wanted them

Each of these started as something we wanted on our own phones and could not find in a form we liked. That is the whole business plan. If an app stops being fun to build, it probably was not worth shipping.
